Random thoughts: something never change

Random series has nothing to do with money.

Was craving for an ice-cream. What a hot day. Was contemplating about whether to get one, save some money, bad for health, FI. WTF, I went ahead anyway.

Was looking for a Magnum Ice-cream. Ya, I ate Atas ice-cream. But decided to go for a cheaper cornetto ice-cream. Then I saw the cheapest options, one of my childhood favorite.

It remembered it was one of those atas ice-cream at 50cents. It costed 50cents then, and $1.20 now.

It looked super small sized and I was thinking how inflation has manifest itself in a ice-cream.

Then, I suddenly had this thought: or is it the same size but my mouth had grow bigger?

As I enjoyed my ice-cream, I realised something never change. I used to suck on the 10 cents "sen bao" and even 5 cents half "sen Bao" and crave for 50 cents ice cream.

My taste changes, but craving didn't. It got worse LOL

  1. Sillyinvestor,

    Ah! "Sen bao"!

    Good times. Nostalgia.

We used to buy "sen bao" from the Malay auntie living across the road from our primary school at those 4 storey walkup apartments .

Those such Ice cream are taken from the Internet LOL. Don't feel cheated, I have a tough time finding them.

I am sure I can find them if I search the Internet hard enough, I still see them during school carnival

  5. Sometimes it's nice to stop for a minute and reflect to the past.
Great to see you found it in the form of an ice-cream.

    1. Hi Jesse,

I always think of the past, almost as frequently if not more than me thinking of the future. The past is gone, the greatest regret is "I should have" and I am glad I don't have many "should have". Looking into the future, I wonder why I have so much anxiety over I "should have"

Took a quick look at your blog. Think the trading community is getting bigger. Although I am not sure which community I belong to ??
